About our Canton Ohio B&B
Welcome to the Hambleton House, a warm and cozy Canton Ohio B&B.
Our historic home has four suites, each with a private bathroom. Every room offers a cozy and warm atmosphere, allowing you to relax and unwind near the heart of downtown Canton. Each suite has its own style and special touches and is equipped with a seating area, Smart TV, mobile device charging station, a mini refrigerator, and free WIFI. Some suites offer jetted tubs, others a garden view.
The rooms are named by and/or for the Hambleton family who built the home in 1918 – Mark, Della, and Oscar Hambleton. Mark and Della raised five children at Hambleton House. Mark’s father Oscar was a Civil War soldier who is said to have been an escort for Gen. Ulysses S. Grant during the South’s surrender at Appomattox Court House.
2021 Renovation – We purchased Hambleton House in August 2021. The home had previously been operated as a B&B by local family Kathy and Randy Heckert, so no major remodeling was necessary. We set out only to highlight this historic home’s natural beauty – the large rooms, the high ceilings, and the original windows. Every room has been painted or is newly wallpapered. A combination of new and old furnishings throughout gives the home an updated yet vintage look.
